Duplex stainless steel 2205 alloy is a duplex stainless steel composed of 21% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloy. It has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local resistance to stress corrosion.
2205 stainless steel pipe characteristics:
Compared with ferritic stainless steel and martensitic stainless steel, duplex stainless steel has higher toughness, lower brittle transition temperature, better intergranular corrosion resistance and weldability, while retaining some characteristics of ferritic stainless steel, such as high thermal conductivity, low linear expansion coefficient and superplasticity. Its strength is higher, especially its yield strength is significantly improved, and its properties of resistance to intergranular corrosion, stress corrosion and corrosion fatigue are obviously improved.
