Product introduction
316L stainless steel sheet is a commonly used stainless steel product. According to the test, 316L stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance, especially pitting corrosion resistance, high temperature strength, excellent work hardening (weak magnetic after processing) and no magnetism in solid solution state due to the addition of Mo.

316L stainless steel plate features:
1) Good appearance gloss of cold rolled products
2) Due to the addition of Mo, the corrosion resistance, especially pitting corrosion resistance, is excellent.
3) Excellent high temperature strength;
4) Excellent work hardening (post-processing weak magnetism)
5) The solid solution state is non-magnetic.

The differences between 316L and 304:
304 and 316L (corresponding to German/European standard 1.4307, 1.4404) are the two most commonly used stainless steels. The main difference in chemical composition between 316L and 304 is that 316L contains Mo. It is generally accepted that 316L has better corrosion resistance than 304 at high temperature. 304 has absolutely excellent corrosion resistance in a dry and clean atmosphere, but if it is in the coastal area, it will soon rust, while 316 stainless steel performs well. However, 316L should not be used in concentrated sulphuric acid environment.

Application: Pipeline, Heat Exchanger, Food Industry, Chemical Industry, Coastal Area Facilities, Marine Equipment

Surface Characteristics and Application:

Surface Characteristics and application
1D - No. 1 Hot rolled, metallic pure, annealed, pickled and heat treated. The most common hot rolled finish. A non reflective, rough surface. Not normally used for decorative applications
2D Matt, cold rolled, annealed, pickled. This material is cold rolled followed by softening and de-scaling. The effect of cold rolling the material is to produce a smoother, less pitted surface. The surface is not only smooth but of matt grain appearance. Used where a better surface is required or subsequent processing/ finishing is necessary.
2B Matt glossy, cold rolled, annealed, pickled, skinpassed. This is the general purpose, cold rolled finish and it is suitable for a wide range of applications where stainless steel is specified. It is also suitable for a wide range of subsequent polishing processes such as satin finishing and grinding..
2R - BA Mirror glossy, bright annealed. The effect of annealing without the presence of oxygen is to produce a reflective surface on the stainless steel and it is often used in preference to a 2B finish where reflectivity is important, such as catering equipment. The very smooth surface also makes this surface highly suitable for further finishing processes such as mirror polishing and chrome plating.
2G- 4N No. 4 Finish is characterized by short, parallel polishing lines, which extend uniformly along the length of the coil. No 4 finish gives low gloss and best apparent flatness of panels. For fabricators, the No 4 finish is directional, allowing easy matching of surfaces and refinishing of welds. For end users, the surface can be repaired to remove any service damage. No 4 finish is duller than the other common finishes, 2B and BA and is generally used where lower reflectivity or gloss is required and where welds and other fabrication marks are to be refinished to match the original surface. This is not possible with 2B and difficult with BA.
Mirror - 8K #8 mirror-polished is the top quality surface finish. Surface blemishes are eliminated by the complete finishing process to achieve a mirrorlike appearance. Such fine quality can be achieved without any extra finishing or coating materials being added. the characteristics of high reflectivity and a lustrous shine allow them to complete any kind of architectural or interior decoration.
